Summit and Regional Tour
Based at 30 Rock, Byron served as Senior Consultant for the Education Nation Summit and Regional Tour in 2011. Each event was moderated by NBC/MSNBC talent including Brian Williams, Tamron Hall, Matt Lauer and Tom Brokaw to name a few. Over 50 million people tuned into the program which featured President Clinton, ten sitting Governors, Melinda Gates and actress Jennifer Garner. Byron was also a panelist at the 2010 Summit.
1st Annual Building a Grad Nation Summit for America’s Promise Alliance
When America’s Promise Alliance needed a leader to guide the planning for the 1st Building a Grad Nation Summit, they called on Byron to lead the team. Byron served as the Executive Producer for the inaugural summit which featured Vice President Biden and US Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
The White House Helping America’s Youth Initiative and School Safety Conference
The White House called and Byron answered by serving as Co-Convener of the Helping America’s Youth Initiative led by former First Lady Laura Bush. Responsible for the execution of three regional summits that included participants from over 36 states, Byron also led the planning for the White House Conference on School Safety.
